Summary

In 1974 a collection of human skeletal remains were recovered during the laying of a pipe at this location. No date was assigned to the bones and there were no obvious reasons to explain their presence.

5 March 1974. On edge of new estate of Castle Rising Road.
Human skeletal remains found in laying pipe 0.6m (2ft) depth. Bones were left lying on surface until given to a small boy who took them to school. School teacher informed KLM who informed police, but by that time hole had been filled in.
Bones at KLM unregistered.
