Summary

A post-medieval windmill is marked at this location on the 1-inch First Edition Ordnance Survey map published in 1836. It does not appear on Faden's 1797 map or on the Ordnance Survey 25-inch or 6-inch maps surveyed in 1885, indicating that it's use may have been quite brief. Equally, it remains possible that the windmill may have been planned but not constructed. Examination of aerial imagery has not identified any cropmark or earthwork remains associated with a windmill at this location.

Examination of digital aerial photography on Google Earth and available Environment Agency lidar yielded no evidence for a windmill at this location.
There are no windmills marked here on the First Edition 25-inch (S3) or 6-inch (S4) maps, indicating that if it was constructed it's use may have been relatively short-lived. The documentary evidence indicates it would have been constructed sometime between 1797 and 1836 but demolished by 1885. Equally, it may have been planned but not constructed.
The 1-inch (S1) referenced above was not available for consultation.
