Summary

A windmill is marked at this site on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map published in 1836 but is not shown on Faden's map of 1797. This may be the site of a 'new' tower mill that was reported in 1820 and worked until 1868.

Full Description

Site of wind mill.
Not marked on (S1); first appears on (S2).

There are records of a 'new' tower mill in 1820 and of millers up to 1868, though they do not definitely relate to this mill.
