Full Description
1976.
Cropmark of dark rectangle - perhaps a moat?
E. Rose (NAU), 6 March 1980.
May 2026. HER Enhancement: Forestry Commission Project K.
The possible medieval moat is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs from 2018 (S3) and 2025 (S4). The possible moat is also visible as a low earthwork on visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2018 (S5). As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is likely that the moat still surives as a low earthwork.
J. Powell (Norfolk County Council Environment Service), 27 May 2026
