6 March 1980. Field Observation.
Visited by E. Rose (NAU):
Early 18th century brick house following curve of road. Shaped gable to north with clamp irons forming SG; modern chimney on top. Recent dormers and porches. Windows in original style but perhaps altered.
Wymondham Society Building recording group report that next two houses to east, presumably 5 and 7, are structurally part of the same building with a later façade.
The interior could be pre-18th century and the house was built to follow the crescent shape of the road.
Compiled by E. Rose (NAU), 25 November 1986.

15 August 1996. Field Observation.
Visited by E. Rose (NLA):
Confirmed that facade of 1 and 3 is in brickwork with diagonal skintlings (pre 1780) except for between ground floor windows of No 3 where brick is more recent - has a larger recent window been removed? No 5 rendered. No 7 is in fact not structurally part of the building, it is a separate house with a mid 19th century white brick front covering two rooms and central passage, the rooms with boxed spine beams. To right is carriage arch crossed by beam with tongue stops resting at west end on post in brick partition wall. Rear (north) wall has wallplate and pegged
studs at east end - west end is hidden by early 19th century extension with Gothick window. Details suggest No 7 has a hidden core or remnants of 17th century or earlier date also.
Compiled by E. Rose (NLA), 22 August 1996.
