Summary

No 19 and No 21 are structurally part of the same building. However No 19 retains its jetty and exposed timber-framing, whereas No 21 has been plastered over and has no visible jetty. They are thought to date to the 16th century.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Two houses. 16th century, with later alterations. Timber-framed with brick. Pantile roofs, black-glazed to No 21.
No 19: Two storeys of exposed close-studded timber-framing. Plank double-leaf door to right, probably to former carriage archway...Jettied first floor carried on plain bressumer...Gabled roof. Internal gable-end stack to south. South gable wall of brick with cut brick kneelers to jetty and eaves.
No 21: Rendered and snowcemed. Two storeys. Underbuilt jetty to first floor...Gabled roof."

Listed as Nos 9-11, but doors numbered as 19-21. (Numbering corrected on new list 1994)
No 19 (on door) is 16th century with exposed timber framing, jettied, the bressumer sloping down towards the north. Brickwork at south end of lower storey. Two original sized upper windows and a larger ground floor one, plus a
carriage arch closed off by doors.
No 21 is structurally part of the same building, but plastered over with no visible jetty.
Brief survey by Wymondham Society (S2) arrives at no date beyond pre 18th century and notes remains of mullioned windows, wall braces and former braces to tiebeams.
