Summary

This range of two storey houses has been significantly altered. Inside are 16th century or earlier timber frames. No. 59 has an 18th century façade and Nos. 61 to 63 have Victorian ground floors. These buildings used to be the Swan Inn.

30 April 1980. Visit. 59 to 63 High Street (forming west side Common Place). Former Swan Inn.
Two storeyed houses. No. 59 has an 18th century facade and 61 to 63 Victorian ground floors, but jetties reveal timber framed cores, 16th century or earlier. [1] notes a 'fine crownpost roof'.
