Anglian cremation cemetery found before 1826 in gravel pit.
Probably north of Heacham river. Line of urns found mouth upwards without covers.
Other urns (probably destroyed) recorded as having bosses round body, 'with burnt bones'.
Information from (S1). See sketch (S2).
According to (S3) site was "near Hall".

(S4) and (S5) indicate that the Norwich Castle Museum holds (or at least held) two urns from this site. One has been identified (NWHCM : 1826.173) and the second may be a poorly-provenanced vessel currently recorded seperately as NHER 11262. See (S6) for further details.
