The cropmarks of a multi-ditched rectangular enclosure are visible to the north of Longfulans Lane, Hopton (S2). The date of this enclosure is unknown, although a medieval to post medieval date seems most likely, as it appears to be aligned the same as the surrounding post medieval landscape and the Yarmouth Road to the west. The divisions and enclosed areas are not marked on the 1813 Corton and Hopton Enclosure map (S3), although it fits well the pattern of enclosure depicted. However it must also be noted that the plan of the enclosure would also compare well with a Roman date site, however on the current evidence it must be assumed to be of medieval to post medieval date.

The main component of the site is a rectangular enclosure, centred on TM 5305 9960, and measuring 82m by 64m. The enclosure is either cut by or joins on to the Coast Road to the east. It seems most likely that the road has cut across the eastern end of the site. The interior of the enclosure is heavily subdivided, with several rectangular areas and elongated strips being defined. To the south of the enclosure is a series of conjoined boundaries and enclosed areas. A number of additional boundaries are also visible to the west of the enclosure.
