Summary

Investigations in this area during 1978-92 recovered a wide variety of objects. Finds included prehistoric flints, a Roman patera and a post-medieval clay tobacco pipe. Sherds of prehistoric, Iron Age and post-medieval pottery were also retrieved. Metal-detecting in 2010 recovered medieval and post-medieval metal objects.
