Summary

A medieval coiled copper alloy wire brooch or hat ornament with impressed decoration, twisted into double knot, with leaf-shaped terminals and three rough mauve glass 'stones' was found at this spot.

Coiled wire copper alloy brooch or hat ornament. Impressed decoration, twisted into double knot, with leaf shaped terminals. Three rough mauve 'stones' (actually glass - P. Lawrance (NCM)) in settings on middle. 4cm x 2cm overall.
