Summary

A Roman pewter plate with incised chevron decoration on the rim found in the 1950s or 1960s. The plate may be associated with one of the Roman pewter hoards found in the area, see NHER 5587 and NHER 5588.

1950s or 1960s? Probably from one of Roman sites along the Little Ouse, possibly from Leylands Farm (NHER 5587), certainly from Hockwold area. Circumstances of discovery unknown.
Bent and broken pewter plate with chevron incised on rim.
It is possible that this piece belongs with one of the Hockwold pewter hoards (NHER 5587 Contexts 5 and 6) or NHER 5588.
