In woodland west of Oxnead church.
Found about 12.7cm deep with metal detecting.
Roman copper alloy horsehead (a possible bucket escutcheon?), (S1).
Foot of mid 1st century trumpet brooch (on Hod Hill type?).
Unidentifiable coin, 3rd century antoninianus.
Lead seal (Roman?)
Identified A. Gregory (NAU) June 1980.
S. Margeson (NCM) 1980.

In addition an antoninianus of CARAUSIVS PAX AVG, AD 287to 93, and a late 1st/early 2nd century trumpet brooch.
Informant's list of small finds adds an unidentified AS, 1st to 2nd century, from this site.
