Summary

A round flint pebble was found in a garden in about 1980. It has blackened patches on it as if from fire, and has been suggested to have been ammunition for a Civil War cannon.

1980 or before. 7 Eastfields Close. Found in garden.
Round dark red flint pebble, light in weight, 5cm (2 inches) in diameter. Surface pitting all over suggests much battering, but lightweight for a hammer. Blackened patches as if from fire.
Suggested as Civil War ammunition.
