Summary

This is the site of a post medieval wind pump marked on a map of 1836. However a map of 1826 marks it as a post mill, and it is thought that this mill was in use until 1896. A brick kiln is also thought to have been positioned beside it.

Marked on 1836 1st edition 1 inch Ordnance Survey map (S1).

According to informant this was a wind mill, post mill shown on Bryant 1826. Last used 1896. He believes site NHER 14984 on Faden (S2) may be a mistake for this.

The windmill is also shown on Bryant's map of 1826 (S3), who marks a brick kiln beside it.
