Summary

The post medieval barn here incorporates reused stone from the medieval priory. The barn itself has brick-edged slits and butttresses and dates to the 16th century (although it was rebuilt in the 18th century).

Listing Description:
Barn. Fabric of re-used clunch and brick of late medieval and 16th century origin, probably reconstructed 18th century. Hipped pantile roof. Single range of one storey with diagonal corner buttresses and one central stepped buttress to east and west flanks, all of brick and clunch. Walls of coursed clunch. West side with row of blocked brick lancets of 18th century origin, 2 19th century segmental-headed windows and pair of full height double doors. East side with row of blocked square windows, 2 19th century segmental windows with gault brick architraves and pair of full height double doors. 3 southern bays opened into cartshed. Roof height raised with brick late 20th century and re-roofed.
