Summary

Fieldwalking in the 1960s and 1970s recovered a number of pottery sherds from the Late prehistoric, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery sherds. Some other objects, including a quern fragment, a copper alloy tag and a naturally perforated flint nodule thought to have been used as a loomwieght were also found.

Twenty-six post medieval sherds, two Transitional sherds.
One prehistoric sherd.
Eight medieval rims, two bases, eighteen body, five handles.
Five miscellaneous sherds.
One clinker, oneburnt flint fragment.
One sherd Middle Saxon Ipswich Ware.
Five Late Saxon sherds.
Bronze tag (from OS 173?).
Naturally perforated flint nodule - ?loomweight.
One fragment Neidermendig quern.
NB. some of these finds may be the same as those listed under NHER 6932 and NHER 7017, as not kept separate.
