The lime kiln discussed above is recorded on the modern Ordnance Survey base map (S5) suggesting that the structure still survives. The kiln appears to be obscured by vegetation on modern aerial photographs (S6) and is not clearly visible on the visualised lidar data (S7) from a survey flown in 2021. The earthworks of the associated marl extraction pit are clearly visible on the visualised lidar data to the west of the mapped location of the kiln.
