Marked on 19th century map in Norfolk Records Office (DS 368).

Known as Ashwellthorpe Road Mill.
A post mill shown on map of 1826 (S1).
Last recorded 1861.
E. Rose (NAU), 24 March 1982.
Agar, Wymondham Old and New, confuses this with site NHER 9456.
