Summary
Lodge Lane First School lies over the site of an earlier brickworks that was founded in the 19th century. A chimney was erected here for the 1897 Jubilee. Huge kilns were used to fire the bricks. The brickworks went out of use around 1965.

Full Description
Lodge Lane.
Site of brick works. Founded in 19th century. Chimney erected for the 1897 Jubilee. 1919 passed to Ruymps, closed around 1965. Huge Hoffman kilns. School now on site.
