Summary

This is the site of a post medieval brickworks said to have been in use since the 17th century. An earthwork mound survives on the site, surrounded by two concentric 19th century walls. The mound may be the remains of a tile kiln.

Site of Brickworks, known as Chapman's Pits or Bottomless Pits.
Said to have been in use since 17th century.
A mound 1.2m (4ft) high contained by 2 concentric 19th century brick walls. The outer one 6.1m (20ft) diameter, inner one 2.4m (8ft). One flue and three rectangles to north.
Perhaps a tile works.
