Summary

An early 19th-century bridge built of red brick and clad in white brick. The bridge has three arches, and has a carved coat-of-arms of the Wodehouse family bearing the date 1815.

November 1978. Field Observation.
Visited by E. Rose (NAU).
1815. White brick cladding on red brick. On three rounded arches, rising abruptly in centre. Divided by low rounded cutwaters.
Only one of the arches now crosses the Rivery Tiffey which was formerly much wider here. Date is carved beneath Wodehouse coat of arms on east. Excellent design, but now in very poor condition.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Road bridge...1815 on datestone with Wodehouse crest and motto. Gault brick with stone dressings. Three segmental arches of two orders with hollow-chamfered stone hood-moulds. Splayed parapets with stone copings."
