Summary

The site of a World War Two pillbox. Unusually it was octagonal in shape. It was demolished when a new approach road for Norwich Airport was built.

See record form in file by source [1], who adds: Type 27/8/A pillbox (identical to NHER 12733 at Oulton) stood in allotments opposite Middletons Lane. Unusual octagonal version. Demolished for new approach road to airport. Remains moved 300m north in new earthworks. Survey No. M1-5.
