Summary

No 7 is a 16th century timber-framed house, with a jettied rear wing to the east with exposed framing above. The front block has been rendered and altered.

Listing Description excerpt (revised 1994):
"Shop with rear hall range. Mid 16th century and altered. Plastered timber frame. Roof of pantiles, black glazed to front. Two storeys. 20th-century shop front to ground floor with a timber-framed passage to right leading to rear. Two three-light late 18th-century casements to first floor. Gabled roof. Hall range in cross wing to rear, also two storeys. Brick underbuilt jetty lit through a late 18th-century sash with glazing bars to right and a 20th-century casement to left. First floor with studs exposed. Two 20th-century casements. Attached external stack to north-east corner. Gabled roof with ridge stack set left of centre. Room over passageway.
Interior - Ground floor front with boxed bridging beams. Ground floor rear with roll-moulded bridging beams. Moulded handrail and turned balusters to staircase. First floor with chamfered tongue-stopped bridging beams. Jowled principal studs."
