Summary

This picturesque timber-framed and weatherboarded house dates to the 15/16th century. It has a Wealden house plan, a rarity in Norfolk, and was very thoroughly restored in 1982. Inside the central hall is open, but the arch-braced tiebeams originally carried crown-posts. Outside there are the proper jetties and an offcentre entrance. Additionally, it has an inserted plinth of reused stone from the medieval Priory.
