Summary

Sometime before 1975 a collection of prehistoric flint tools was recovered from this location. These finds are known to have included an Early Neolithic leaf-shaped arrowhead, a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged arrowhead, a knife and a 'pounder'. Metal-detecting in 2022 recovered Roman and post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman coins; a post-medieval token and a number of other metal objects, including a Roman brooch, military amphora-shaped strap end and military harness mount; a Middle/Late Saxon pin and a medieval strap end.

7 Roman pottery sherds, a Colchester-derivative rearhook brooch and openwork military harness mount.
Middle/Late Saxon pin.
Medieval shield-shaped strap end.
1 post-medieval token and 1 pottery sherd.
Site extended to the whole field [3]. Previously mapped as a point at [4].
