Summary

Metal-detecting at this location in 1980 recovered a single Roman coin. In 1986 fieldwork undertaken along the route of a new water pipeline recovered undatable prehistoric and Neolithic worked flints.

1 Roman coin. Denarius of Otho (RIC I,9) PONT MAX.

Examination of pipe trench for Costessey Heigham Water Transfer Main. Found in trench at this location by J. J. Wymer (NAU):
1 Neolithic flint flake with slight retouch.
Donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1998.318.2).
