Full Description
Pre 1981. Stray Find.
'Quartzy stone with slight hole' found south of Mad Dog Lane. Findspot marked on (S1). Information from (S2).
Possible an (?unfinished) example of what commonly decribed as pebble maces. These objects are not closely datable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.
