Full Description
1980. Metal detecting on ploughed field.
Late Saxon garment hook with two holes for attachment, tip of hook missing. Ellipsoid plate decorated with Maltese cross.
Post medieval bronze belt chape with crescent shaped front plate. Decorated with incised abstract motifs and trifoliate terminal.
Plain back-plate, riveted in place with four rivets.
Identified by S. Margeson (NCM), January 1981.
