Summary

A group of five Bronze Age round barrows exist here. Four survive as earthworks, with one ploughed flat. Four, including the ploughed barrow, were excavated in 1842. One contained a pottery vessel whilst another had an upside down pot which held fragmentary human bones, a bronze pin or awl and six or seven gold beads.
