In the mid 20th century cropmarks indicating the site of an undated building were visible on the ground. Their location is marked on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map as 'ruin'.

Cropmarks seen about 900m (1 mile) northeast of Bircham Tofts (now on aerodrome), not photographed from air. No details available.
