23 November 1980. Found in fieldwalking by Hales Hall Survey.
1 Roman box tile fragment.
1 coarse sherd Roman or medieval.
1 post medieval glazed.

Finds of Early Saxon, Roman and medieval metalwork, the Early Saxon finds stated to imply burials, formerly reported on site NHER 17982 are now (1997) said to come from northern part of this site. Because of doubt, both entries are retained. These finds are numbered as Context 2 - full list in file.

(S1) records this as Site 19, with two concentrations of Roman (2nd to 3rd century) material. These are part of a number of small settlements strung out along a ridge.
