Full Description
Site/remains of old brickworks.
Not on (S1).
Presumably mid 19th century.
E. Rose 24 April 1981.
Worked by Gunton's in 1904-39.
Information from Norfolk Industrial Archaeology Society (S2).
(S3) has drawing of tall conical kiln here like that still at Mundesley.
E. Rose (NAU) 6 September 1983.
March 2004. Norfolk NMP.
Elements of this brickworks are visible on the RAF aerial photographs from 1946 (S4). However, none of the structures were mapped as part of the NMP as it was felt that the 2nd edition map (25in, 1902-7) (S5) records the buildings and extractive areas sufficiently.
(S4-5).
S. Massey (NMP) 30 March 2004.
