Summary

This remains of the brickworks here date to the mid 19th century, with the tall conical kiln similar to the one at the brickworks in Mundesley. Records show that this site was worked by Gunton's in 1904-39. Aerial photographs taken in 1946 clearly show the site.

Elements of this brickworks are visible on the RAF aerial photographs from 1946 (S4). However, none of the structures were mapped as part of the NMP as it was felt that the 2nd edition map (25in, 1902-7) (S5) records the buildings and extractive areas sufficiently.
(S4-5).
