Map

Icehouse at Icehouse Hill.
Of type used to store ice from ships resembling the remaining example further north at Haven Bridge. Now apparently totally demolished.
E. Rose (NAU), 30 April 1981.

C. Lewis (GYM) states that this is in fact not demolished in his opinion. He believes the existing warehouse of the Lowestoft Sack and Bag Company is the icehouse with thatch replaced by corrugated iron, and indeed the building does resemble that at Haven Bridge.
E. Rose (NAU), 4 November 1982.

See (S1) which shows corrugated iron roof replaced by tiles.
