Metal detecting along the riverbank in 1981 recovered a medieval copper alloy seal matrix. The seal depicted St John the Baptist holding the Agnus Dei.

Full Description
1981. Edge of river bank. Found with metal detector.
Bronze seal matrix with trefoil looped handle.
Device: St John the Baptist holding Agnus Dei. Legend (S) CE IOHES ORA PRO ME, three dots on top for orientation.
13th-14th century.
