Full Description
Various finds recovered from churchyar of Holy Trinity Church, Great Hockham (NHER 9047).
Medieval, Iron Age/Early Saxon and possibly Late Saxon sherds and flint tools. See (S1) in file for NHER 9047 for further details.
1978. Stray Finds.
Found by A. Rogerson (NAU) in molehills north and south of church:
1 Late Saxon pottery sherd (Thetford-type ware)
3 medieval pottery sherds (unglazed medieval).

Pre November 1988. Stray Finds.
Finds from molehills. Dark grey burnished Iron Age or Early Saxon pottery sherd from east end of churchyard. Also seven sherds of medieval unglazed pottery from various location. Found by Mr E. Rogers.

Pre 28 May 1981. Stray Finds.
Surface finds from "immediate area of Great Hockham church", seen May 1981. Exact findspot not specified, although objects are marked "Hockham Church".
Various worked flints of probable later Neolithic or Bronze Age date, including:
1 keeled blade core.
1 blade core fragment, possibly retouched.
10 flakes, one battered.
3 scrapers.
1 notch.
5 miscellaneous retouched flakes.
1 battered flint lump, perhaps hammerstone fragment.
Also two thermal flakes with ferruginous patina and possible retouch. If these are artefacts at all they may be Palaeolithic.
