Summary

A rectilinear enclosure, a ring ditch and other associated features of unknown date are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. Prehistoric flints, and pottery dating from the Roman and the post medieval periods has been found by metal detecting and field walking.

Huge thick dark subrectangular cropmark with inner semi-circle.

June 1983. On surface over cropmark and rest of field around.
Found with metal detecting and in fieldwalking.
6 Roman sherds including 1 Oxfordshire f38 imitation, 4th century.
7 worked flints.
Miscellaneous post medieval sherds including bellarmine and post medieval metalwork.

Enclosure as seen in 1977 not visible.
Ring ditch visible on same site.
Part of this site may have formed the feature seen within the enclosure by E. Rose (NAU) in 1981.
