Summary

Medieval and post medieval occupation and property boundaries revealed by a series of excavations during the late 1970s. Prehistoric worked flints, medieval pottery and a medieval coin from the reign of Henry II were recovered from the site.

1976 to 1977. Glebe land retained for churchyard extension. Excavations for thesis data.
Some worked flint.
Late 12th century and post medieval occupation and property boundaries.
Animal bones.
Plant remains.
Late Stamford ware determined by thin sectioning.
Coin of Henry II (penny, cross with crosslets) from upper fill of a ditch.
Three field boundary ditches containing considerable quantities of domestic refuse.
Abraded sherds.
Above information from (S1) and (S2).
Location of site given by [1]'s father. [1] states some finds were made in cutting 'the access road south of Middleton Mount', presumably Church Close which runs up to the site indicated.
