Summary

Digging by school children in the southwest corner of the school grounds in 1981 recovered a variety of archaeologicalartefacts. These included post medieval pottery sherds, clay smoking pipes, a musket ball and a struck prehistoric flint flake. The nature ofthese finds may suggest a 18th-19th century rubbish pit.

Finds largely pottery, glass, clay pipes, etc.
Indicates 19th century rubbish dump.
Includes some clay pipe and glass perhaps 18th century.
Musket ball 16th or 17th century?
Struck prehistoric flint flake.
