Full Description
17 July 1981. NAU air photography.
Cropmarks. Triple concentric ring ditches. Possible that this is some form of re-used barrow having regard to large number of adjacent ring ditches/barrows. Or 'ritual monument'. Very concentric plan puts doubt on this [puts doubt on it being re-used]?
See (S1).
D. Edwards (NAU), 28 July 1981.
August 1992. Metal detecting finds.
Dolphin type brooch. 1st century AD. Wide tubular wings unusual cavetto mouldings on bow. Bow narrows towards foot, where it turns upward. Pin missing, catchplate damaged.
Identified by J. Davies (NCM).
A. Rogerson (NLA) 5 October 1992.
