Summary

This was originally a 17th century three cell timber framed building. There was one room on each side of a central chimney stack and two storeys and an attic. The house was extended to the east in the late 18th century. The extension was timber framed but with a brick gable wall. The older section was infilled with 19th century brick and a rear wing was also added in the 19th century.

Hall Farm Cottages.
Originally a three cell timber framed building. One room each side of a central stack.Two storeys and attics. Expanded topped posts at each corner of the two rooms. Inverted arched braces in outer corners. Ceiling beams simple chamfered.
Large wall plates. Collar beams and windbraces in attics. Spiral stair beside stack. Original mullioned windows, blocked, at its head. Date probably 17th century. House was extended to east in late 18th century, also in timber framing but with brick gable wall. Extended attic has collar beams but no windbraces. Older section has been infilled with 19th century brick and a rear wing of that date has been demolished. In very bad condition. Building listed after demolition had started.
