Full Description
Pillbox.
Hexagonal, concrete over brick.
Interior brick blast wall.
Now fitted with wire mesh door presumably not original.
On river bank behind mill.
First noted by Pillbox Survey.
Checked by E. Rose (NAU) 20 August 1981.

The World War Two Type 22 pillbox described above is visible as an extant structure on aerial photographs (S2), at TM 3608 9903. It is also depicted by modern Ordnance Survey mapping.
