Summary

A World War Two Type 22 pillbox survives as an extant structure on the southern bank of the River Chet at Loddon. It has been recorded on the ground, is visible on aerial photographs, and is depicted by modern Ordnance Survey maps. It was probably sited to defend the river crossing 50m to its east.

Hexagonal, concrete over brick.
Interior brick blast wall.
Now fitted with wire mesh door presumably not original.
On river bank behind mill.
First noted by Pillbox Survey.
