Divers found a crashed but intact twin-engined German bomber off the coast of Happisburgh in 1981.

9 September 1981. About one and a quarter miles east of Happisburgh Church, triangulated with lighthouse and aerial.
Aircraft wreck in 13.7m to 15.2m (45 to 50 feet) of water.
Twin radial engines.
Probably German aircraft whose crew were washed up on the beach in about 1940.
