Summary

During the 1950s (approximately) a medieval or post medieval pot was found in a creek. It was given to a man whose children threw stones at it!

Map

1950s or thereabouts. At southern end of Glaven estuary by Cley town, approximate site only. Revealed by flood scouring a side creek of river.
Complete pottery jug or 'bottle', dark green glaze.
Member of the public [1] stated it resembled some fragments of Grimston ware shown to him by member of the public [2], but 'somewhat darker green'.
Member of the public [1] gave the pot to a man in Cley whose children threw stones at it.
