Summary

This timbe- framed building is in the process of being repaired (April 2012) after a long period of dereliction. It has a type J plan with lobby entrance and intact winding stair beside stack. The 19th century brick and tile skin has been removed.

Derelict timber framed building, offcentre chimney. Clad in 19th century brick (Flemmish bond) and tile skin. 60 x 20 feet in size, two stories. Ground floor windows are double hung sashes. Four windows in upper floor built tight to the eaves. All the windows have stone cills. The roof is tiled, the rear being traditional Norfolk shape and the front being modern interlocking tiles.

September 2008. Stable block
Stable is of single storey construction and orientated approximately east-west. The stables are attached to a further farm building at the eastern end. The stables are located to the north of Long Row Farmhouse. The pitched roof is clad with clay pantiles with a vast proportion of the original timbers remaining. The walls consist of clay lump and blockwork constructed off a red brickwork plinth. There are four internal partition walls, one of which is original and is constructed of clay lump upon a brick and flint plinth.
It is proposed to convert the stable block into an annex

April 2012. Farmhouse
Type J farmhouse. Circa 1630. High quality close-studded timber frame with a later facing of brick work which has just been removed during repair and refurbishment works (April 2012). Retains original stack side stairs. Former service rooms with evidence of pair of doors and studded wall to the south of present partition. Very fine clasped purlin roof with wind bracing. At first floor level in the parlour chamber to the west side of gable-end there is a primary phase doorway which leads into thin air. Possible former garderobe.
