Summary

A timber framed thatched building, dating from the 15th or 16th century. One of the oldest buildings in Aldborough, and set on the village green, it was originally three separate houses, eventually all knocked into one. The upper floor and chimneys were added in about 1600. The building seems to have been in retail use for most of its life, and in 1833 was bought by John Bone. It traded as Bone & Co. until about 1970, when it fell into disuse. In the 1980s the building was restored and is now in use as a craft centre.
