Summary

An early 17th century thatched barn, built of flint and brick, and with shaped brick gables.

Map

Aligned north to south.
The lower sections of the walls are of flint, the upper of brick, with brick edged slits across both builds.
Small, with central cart doors.
Gable walls of flint with diaperwork in brick.
Brick shaped gables rising to a point.
Thatched.
Illegible date plaque on south but probably late 17th century.
Fair condition.
Visited E. Rose (NAU) 4 November 1981.

(S1) notes that roof has tiebeams, collars, 2 rows of butt purlins with windbraces to one, and ridge piece.
Mortises for wall posts and arched braces.

Planning application for converion 2001 states that the date plaque says 1702, which would fit with the style.
