A visit was made during gravel quarrying. Although it was thought a Roman road passed through the site, no finds or archaeological features were encountered.

1981. Negative site.
Gravel pit cut across suggested course of Roman road (see NHER 15406). Workmen reported no features or finds seen.
Section on east noted; no indication of any features, ditches etc cutting into natural gravels below topsoil.
