Summary

Fragments of Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery have been found in molehills. This is evidence for medieval activity at this site. This may be related to an early manorial site to the west (NHER 6028) or it have been a separate concentration of settlement. If it is settlement it may be Thursmore, a name which is recorded in old documents.
