Full Description
1981. Found in molehills along east side of track.
Eleven bodysherds probably all medieval unglazed.
One Roman? greyware.
One Roman? Calcite gritted.
Three medieval glazed.
One post medieval stoneware.
One Staffordshire slipware.
A. Rogerson (NAU), 9 December 1981.
1982.
Another nine medieval unglazed as above.
February 2006.
Evidence of medieval activity at least. Related to earthworks to west. This may have been an earlier manorial site. It may have been a separate concentration of settlement. Of possible sites whose names are known Thursmore is not unlikely.
Information from (S1).
M. Dennis (NLA), 9 February 2006.
