Summary

The gabled walls of this building date to the late 16th or early 17th centuries. These may have been added to an earlier timber-framed building. The building is very long suggesting that it was of some importance within the parish. There is some reused 13th century stonework and terracotta built into the north wall. Around 1800 the timber-framed parts of the house were replaced in brick, the upper floor raised and the west wing added. The property was also split into three. There have also been more recent changes to the windows and further extensions.
